Myrtle
In March 2008, Myrtle came to live with us. Her full name is Dutch Sh Ch Minstergate Dutch Mouse JW ’08, NJK ’09, W '10, GW '11. Myrtle was born on 17th of January 2008.
For years I was very charmed with the type of dogs from the ‘Sireva’ kennel. On one of our 
training days on the Moors in North Yorkshire my dear friend Mrs. Di Arrowsmith asked Claire Rodgers to come over for training so I could have a look at Claire’s bitch ‘Pagan’. Her full name is CH Sireva Royalty at Minstergate (JW). She was just lovely in every way. She was beautiful, very social and worked really well. So beauty and brains in one! In July 2007 I went over to England to have a look at the dog Claire picked out for Pagan to breed with. His name was Sireva Duey with Coastedge. Duey (for short) had a very open character and looked beautiful. So on 17th of January 2008 Claire had a litter from Pagan and Duey. There were 4 puppies in the litter of which 3 were bitches and 1 was a dog. I had the pick of the litter and so I went over to Claire for a weekend when the puppies were 4 weeks old. They were adorable and it gave me a very happy feeling that in time one of these beautiful puppies was going to live with us. When they were 6 weeks old I flew over again for a weekend and made my choice of one of the bitches. I did a couple a small tests with the bitches to see what I could find out about their characters and we looked at their confirmation. When they were 8 weeks old I went over with a friend Theo Molenaar to pick Myrtle up. Myrtle has been a super choice in every way. She has a wonderful character and a very great ‘will to please’ in training, whether it is obedience or gundog training. Everything she does she does with 200 % devotion. She has already obtained certificates in 3 different puppy training courses and 7 obedience diploma’s. The last level was Cynophilia GG1 of which you can see some videos of the exercises on youtube. Myrtle is also doing extremely well in the show ring. When she was 10 months old she got the Youth Winner title at the Winner show in Amsterdam. When Myrtle was 14 months old she got her Dutch Youth Champion title. At 17 months old Myrtle had enough points to be a Dutch Show Champion (4 ¼ ), but in Holland a dog has to be older than 27 months to be one. So after that she still has to get a RCC or CC to become a Show Champion. That happened at the Show in Arnhem when she was 28 months old. On the 23rd of May 2010, at the Int. Show in Arnhem Myrtle became a Dutch Show Champion.
She was 1 Excellent CAC-CAIB – BOB. The judge was Mr. W. Wellens from Holland.
So now I am proud to say that Myrtle is Dutch Sh Ch Minstergate Dutch Mouse JW ’08, NJK ’09, W '10, GW '11. The 2 shows after that Myrtle also was Best Of Breed!!!

Myrtle: TOP Show Weimaraner SH of the year 2010 in The Netherlands!!
We are hoping to have a litter from Myrtle at the end of this year or spring 2012 by Mara’s brother Bee-Be Miller of Weimar’s Joy. Fingers crossed!
